Management
Brandon Kuchta, Co-Founder & Director
Brandon co-founded Seven Springs to pursue his dream of owning and operating small and mid-sized businesses. As a young kid, he was always interested in solving business problems and wanted to be the key decision-maker in a company. Most recently, Brandon served as CEO of Analytical Technologies Group based in Groton, CT and Boston Laboratory Equipment based in Woburn, MA where his primary responsibilities spanned Service Management, Sales, Business Development, M&A, Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and Finance.
Prior to co-founding Seven Springs, Brandon worked as an investment professional at The Carlyle Group. There, he worked on a roll-up of the general aviation fueling services sector, helping to acquire and finance many small businesses. He has extensive experience working with a broad array of companies in the business services, basic materials, industrials, and aerospace sectors. Brandon studied economics and political science at Yale University and completed his MBA at Harvard Business School. In his spare time, he enjoys playing racquet sports and spending time with family and friends.
Brandon grew up in Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island, New York. In fact, the name “Seven Springs” is the street he lived on for much of his childhood, and references the natural water springs that exist in his hometown.
Michael Kuchta, Co-Founder & Director
Michael co-founded Seven Springs to become an entrepreneur and seize the daily challenges of owning-operating small and mid-sized businesses. His experience running small enterprises has allowed him to learn and lead in new and exciting ways. Most recently, Michael served as President of Analytical Technologies Group based in Groton, CT and Boston Laboratory Equipment based in Woburn, MA where his primary responsibilities spanned Equipment Procurement & Sales, Business Development, M&A, Operations, Human Resources, and Research & Development.
Prior to Seven Springs, Michael worked at Evercore Partners where he analyzed energy services businesses and global commodity fundamentals. Before Evercore, he helped grow an asset management business and helped found a financial and physical energy brokerage firm. Michael received his bachelor’s degree in English literature from Princeton University and in his spare time enjoys reading, playing racquet sports, and the great outdoors.
Michael also grew up in Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island, New York and lived on a street named “Seven Springs” for much of his childhood. He has many fond memories of the suburban landscape and enjoys returning to spend quality time with friends and family.
Matthew Giambrone, Chief of Staff
Matt joined Seven Springs in early 2024, inspired by a family history of entrepreneurship; his father and grandfathers all ran their own small businesses. Their legacy fuels his passion and eagerness to partner with small and mid-sized businesses to continue building on their success and accomplishments. Prior to joining Seven Springs, Matt worked as a financial analyst at S&P Global covering large, sponsor-backed companies across a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, engineering & construction, and paper & packaging. Matt received his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan and in his spare time enjoys golfing, playing guitar, and working out. Matt grew up in Irvington, New York, a small river town in Westchester County.

Tony Ibargüen, Advisor
Tony Ibargüen brings over 25 years of senior executive leadership experience at companies such as Insight Enterprises (NASD:NSIT), a Fortune 500 information technology business where he also serves on its Board of Directors; Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE:SFE) and Internet Capital Group/Actua (NASD:ACTA) public holding companies for internet-based technology companies; and Tech Data (NASD:TECD), a Fortune 500 global technology distributor. He is currently CEO of Quench USA, the largest independent company in the U.S. bottleless water filtration industry, and President of parent company AquaVenture Holdings, where he is a member of the Board of Directors. Tony also serves as a Director of Codi, a manufacturer of mobile device accessories, and as an advisor to the Knight Foundation, which works to create informed & engaged communities. He holds a B.A. in Marketing from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Jim Sharpe, Advisor
At Harvard Business School, Jim is an Entrepreneur in Residence concentrating in the area of turnarounds, entrepreneurship and running small businesses. He has taught entrepreneurship, turnarounds, launching new ventures and running small and medium size enterprises.
Jim sold his company, Extrusion Technology, to a private equity firm in December 2008. He had purchased the aluminum extrusion fabricator in 1987 after an 11 month self-funded search and grew it from $4 million to $32 million, developing a value-added products niche in the Datacomm/Telecom electronics markets and a supplemental factory in Xiamen, China. After taking on substantial debt, Jim transformed the second generation, family-owned business.
Jim has a BS degree from Babson College and after graduating from Harvard Business School in 1976, joined General Electric and moved on to Product General Manager positions within the GE materials businesses. After 5 years, he left GE to run 3 turn-around situations which prepared him to strike off on his own in 1987.
David Humphreys, Advisor
David Humphreys has served as CEO since 1994 for TAMKO Building Products LLC, founded in 1944 and one of the nation’s largest residential roofing manufacturers. He also serves as Chairman for each of Envision Building Products LLC, a manufacturer of composite decking and aluminum architectural railing systems, regional homebuilder American Southern Homes LLC, and ELC Capital, his family investment firm. Prior to TAMKO, David was a corporate tax attorney in New York and Paris at Davis Polk & Wardwell specializing in complex cross-border transactions.
David’s philanthropy focuses on advancing personal liberty and free-market principles by his service on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Cato Institute, as Executive Committee Chairman for the Institute for Humane Studies, and as Chairman of the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion & Liberty. He was a former Chair of the Board of Regents for The University of the South in Sewanee, TN. To enable educational opportunities for young people, he and his wife Debra founded the Pre-K – 12 Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School, endowed a Chair in Criminal Justice Advocacy at University of Miami Law School, endowed scholarships at Missouri Southern State University, and founded Joplin Historical Neighborhoods to create historic house museums in the Historic District in his hometown of Joplin, MO.
David holds a BA from the University of the South (Sewanee, TN), a JD from the University of Miami (FL), and an LLM (tax) from New York University.
