RJ joined Seven Springs to become an entrepreneur and seize the challenges of owning-operating small and medium-sized businesses. 

Prior to Seven Springs, RJ led direct investments for the Allen & Company partnership across concentrated public equity investments and company-building private platforms. Before Allen, RJ was a Principal at Shumway Capital similarly straddling public equities, private buyouts, and company building. At Shumway, RJ helped build a microbiome therapeutics company that was the predecessor to Finch Therapeutics (OTC: FNCH). RJ started his career in private equity at TPG and investment banking at Greenhill before that. 

RJ and Brandon have been close friends for 20+ years dating back to their undergraduate degrees at Yale and graduate degrees at Harvard. RJ studied Economics and graduated magna cum laude at Yale University, and completed his MBA at Harvard Business School. In his spare time, RJ can often be found chasing after his three young boys at their home in Bronxville, NY.
